Question
Can I lodge two Income Tax Returns within the same financial year? For example:
- Income Tax (Small Business Restructure 001): 01/07/2025 – 15/04/2026
- Income Tax 004: 16/04/2026 – 30/06/2026
Answer
At present, LodgeiT supports only one Income Tax Return per standard financial year.
Although there are situations where two tax returns are required for the same income year (such as following a Small Business Restructure), LodgeiT does not currently support lodging multiple Income Tax Returns for a single financial year.
This enhancement has been added to our product roadmap; however, there is currently no estimated release date (ETA).
Workaround
For now, you can:
- Lodge one of the Income Tax Returns through LodgeiT.
- Lodge the other Income Tax Return using an alternative lodgement method, ie ATO portal
