Question: I have a client who doesn’t have a first name according to the ATO prefill. However, LodgeiT requires a first name to create a client contact. How can I proceed?
Guidance: Since the ATO prefill allows an empty first name, you can use one of the following options to bypass the LodgeiT requirement:
Option 1: Split the Name
Enter part of the name in the First Name field and the rest in the Last Name field.
Example:
First Name: Anna
Last Name: Minda
Option 2: Duplicate the Name
Use the same name for both the First Name and Last Name fields.
Example:
First Name: Anna Minda
Last Name: Anna Minda
Option 3: Placeholder Name
If the above options do not work, use a placeholder like "N/A" or a single space in the First Name field.
If it will not help, we'll send the request to ATO for them to investigate it.
