Question: LodgeiT didn't calculate the repayment income correctly. It did not include the fringe benefits received as part of determining the repayment income threshold to pay for the HECS debt. This causes a variance from NoA.
Answer: Fringe benefits had been included, but the reason LodgeiT calculated repayment as $0 is this rule https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/study-and-training-support-loans/compulsory-repayments/
Combined income for medicare purposes is less than lowest threshold because spouse’s income is $0 hence medicare levy has a reduction. Please ask the user if this is correct amount and if yes we’ll continue to investigate the discrepancy.
