Error/Validation: "There was no endpoint listening at http://abr.business.gov.au/abrxmlsearch/ABRXMLSearch.asmx that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details."

An ABR outage refers to a disruption or unavailability of the Australian Business Register (ABR) services that are managed by the Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS) and linked with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) systems.

This is an ABR Register outage that we cannot control. We use the service to validate ABN's in LodgeiT. Usually the service is restored in a few hours.

An ABR outage means that the register’s online services are temporarily down or disrupted, so people can’t:

  • Apply for a new ABN

  • Update or manage an existing ABN

  • Access ABR data via web services or lookup tools
