LodgeiT does not calculate the Veterans' Superannuation (Invalidity Pension) Tax Offset (VSTO) in the taxpayer's estimate.

This is because the tax offset is calculated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) after the tax return has been lodged and assessed.

Why isn't the offset shown in LodgeiT?

According to the ATO, the Veterans' Superannuation (Invalidity Pension) Tax Offset is not self-calculated by taxpayers or tax software. The ATO automatically determines your eligibility and calculates the offset during the assessment of your lodged tax return.

As a result, the estimated refund or tax payable displayed in LodgeiT will not include this tax offset.

What should I do if the assessment differs from LodgeiT's estimate?

If the amount shown on your Notice of Assessment (NoA) differs from the estimate in LodgeiT due to the Veterans' Superannuation (Invalidity Pension) Tax Offset, please send us a copy of your Notice of Assessment.

Our support team will review the assessment and confirm whether the difference is due to the ATO applying the VSTO.
