Question: Why do we cannot activate the selection button in the CGT Schedule "Have you applied an exemption, rollover or additional discount?" ?
Answer: The line item option "Have you applied an exemption, rollover or additional discount?" will be change to YES or NO depending if you choose to Manually Fill-up the CGT Schedule or if you opt to input using the Granular Detail ( Capital Gains (CGT).
1) Fill it Manually - If you click the line item "Fill capital gains manually?" as YES, then the exemption and rollover option will be activated.
2) If you opt to use the Granular Method to fill the CGT Schedule, you need click "Add Worksheet" to input the Current Year Capital Gains/Losses to activate the exemption and rollover option button inside each worksheet.
Then, select the applicable "Exemption or rollover code".
When you go back to the main CGT Schedule, you will noticed that the exemption and rollover line items was auto-filled (see below image):
