You may notice duplicate Activity Statement Forms appearing in your Form Dashboard.
Why This Happens
This usually occurs when there are duplicate client records in your system. Since LodgeiT retrieves data directly from the ATO, having multiple clients with the same details can result in duplicate forms being generated.
Common Causes
- Multiple client profiles created with the same:
- Name
- ABN (Australian Business Number)
- TFN (Tax File Number)
How to Resolve
- Check Client List
- Go to your Client list.
- Search for clients with identical or similar details.
- Review Client Information
- Confirm if there are duplicate entries with the same ABN or TFN.
- Clean Up Duplicates
- Archive duplicate client records where applicable.
- Ensure only one active and accurate client profile remains.
- Refresh Forms Dashboard
- Once duplicates are resolved, refresh or reload your Form Dashboard to reflect the correct records.
Best Practice
To prevent this issue in the future:
- Always check existing client records before creating a new one.
- Use unique identifiers (ABN/TFN) when adding clients.
