Error: “CMN.ATO.AS.EM98067 – No active roles found for the activity statement. Please review role details and try again.”

Overview: This error may occur when lodging or validating a Business Activity Statement (BAS) in LodgeiT, particularly when the GST and PAYGI fields are missing from the form.

Why does this happen?

When a user prefills an activity statement in LodgeiT, the form instance is provided by the ATO. In this case, the ATO returned an empty form instance, which is why the GST and PAYGI fields are missing.

When the user clicks Validate or Complete, LodgeiT sends the form to the ATO for pre-lodgment validation. The error is returned by the ATO, indicating that no active roles were found for the activity statement.

Regenerating the draft or refreshing the browser will not restore fields that were not provided by the ATO.

Recommended action: Contact the ATO first to review the client's and agent's role details and determine whether the activity statement needs to be reissued. If the issue remains unresolved, contact LodgeiT Support for further investigation.

  1. Contact the ATO and ask them to review the client's and agent's role or authorisation details.

  2. Ask whether the activity statement needs to be reissued once the relevant relationships or authorisations are corrected.

  3. Once resolved, try prefilling the activity statement again in LodgeiT.

  4. If the issue persists, contact LodgeiT Support so we can escalate it to the ATO technical team for further investigation.

Note: LodgeiT can only display the fields supplied by the ATO. The missing fields and validation error must be investigated with the ATO first.
