Once inside the Amendment Tool it is possible to create adjusting entries. This should only be used by accountants looking to demonstrate differences between the client source system and the accountants financial statements without adjusting the client source system.

Go to "Tools"

Select "Trade Amendments"

Click "New Amendment"

Record details that will form part of an Activity Statement Amendment in the Trade Amendment Tool

Source System Type - This is the source accounting system transaction Type against which the erroneous transaction was recorded.

Source System Transaction - This is the ID reference in the source accounting system against which the erroneous transaction was recorded.

Journal Number - This is the Journal Number in the accountant's system against which the correcting journal was recorded.

Values must be recorded to reflect the adjustments required to be processed in the Activity Statement to clear any variance in the Analytics Grid.

Note how the facts from the accounting system + the required amendments create the updated, reportable facts.
