When changing the "Practice Type" in LodgeiT, it is essential to update the organization profile because this determines key agent settings that affect tax form declarations, agent numbers, and legal entity details used in submissions. This is critical for authorization and ATO compliance.

Step 1: Update Your Organisation's Profiles

Go to the Gear Wheel (Settings) > Profile section in LodgeiT.

  • Change the Entity Type from Individual to Company.
  • Update your Tax Agent Number to your company's number.
  • This ensures the correct legal entity, tax agent declaration details, and compliance settings are applied across all forms.

  • This step ensures all Standard Business Reporting (SBR) interactions with the ATO, including lodgement submissions, are authorized correctly under the new entity.
