LodgeiT now offers the ability to import SMSF Annual Returns directly from BGL SimpleFund. This function can only be used for 2022FY onwards.

Export from Simple Fund 360

Please ensure that the following have been completed in BGL SimpleFund 360 before attempting to export the Annual Return:

  1. You have nominated BGL as a software provider with the ATO
    - Multiple software providers can be nominated at the same time.
    - Nominating BGL as a software provider will not restrict you from lodging in different software.

  2. We recommend that the tax return validation has passed before exporting.

To export a tax return from BGL SimpleFund 360, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. From the Main Toolbar navigate to the Compliance menu and select Tax Compliance.
  2. Select Validate. (Recommended before export.)
  3. Once SBR validation is complete select LodgeiT.
  4. The XML file will be downloaded and stored in your Downloads folder on your computer.

Import into LodgeiT

  1. Click on the three-dot menu located at the top right corner of the tax return.
  2. Select the Import option from the drop-down menu.
  3. Choose BGL SimpleFund 360 from the available options.
  4. Select the file you want to import by clicking on the Choose File button.
  5. Click on Import to initiate the import process.
