Question: I am using excel to populate the tax return for trusts. In section 11 Interest, gross interest on accounts has been populated using the excel spreadsheet provided. Then there is a line item below this saying "Difference" with a negative value. I am not getting the interest income appear in the total income summary for the trust.
Answer: Please input the amount under Item 11 (Gross interest on accounts) as tax facts to make the difference amount to zero amount.
